After graduating from Podiatry at Curtin University in 2002, I moved to London where I was based for 8 years. I gained a multitude of experience working 4 years in the NHS treating everything from gangrene to sports injuries.
The next 4 years were spent working at Profeet. Here I was able to combine the knowledge gained from my previous degree in Sports Science and my Podiatry degree, conducting biomechanical assessments on runners, rugby players and other athletes, before making orthoses using the SIDAS system used here at the Foot and Ankle Rehabilitation Clinic (FARC).
Following the birth of our first daughter Chloe, my husband and I moved back to Perth at the end of 2009. I briefly worked at Rocky Bay Village doing some care work for children with disabilities.
In 2011 I joined Ashley Day Podiatry where I continue to work 3 days a week, treating all manner of foot conditions from nails and callous, diabetic foot ulcers, sports injuries and in-grown toenails.
I commenced with the team at FARC in November 2017 and have enjoyed the challenges it has brought in treating a multitude of post-surgical conditions as well as other complex foot complaints. In particular, I enjoy using the SIDAS method of treating biomechanical conditions with the use of their unique insoles/orthoses.
Outside of work I am a keen runner recently completing my first marathon in New York 2018. I am a mother to 3 girls as well as our ‘boy’ – Elvis, a blue Staffordshire Terrier.
